Facebook application: opening the link in an external browser The Facebook in-app browser intermittently sends requests to websites that do not have previously set cookies. Select the Safari icon to return to Safari. 8. Before the cookie setting change takes effect, Safari must be restarted. To restart Safari, press and hold the home button (about five seconds) until the iPhone/iPad display goes blank and the home screen appears. 9. Select the Safari icon to return to Safari.
