Facebook application: opening the link in an external browser The Facebook in-app browser intermittently sends requests to websites that do not have previously set cookies. There is a specific problem. This seems to be a defect in the browser and should be resolved as soon as possible. The easiest way to avoid this problem is to continue using the Facebook app, but not the in-app browser.

This can be done by the following steps: 1. Click the hamburger menu in the upper right corner to open the settings menu 2. Select "Application Settings" from the menu 3. Open the option "Open External Links" (this will use the device's default browser)

Enable Cookies in Mobile Safari (iPhone, iPad) 1. Press the home button or unlock the phone/iPad to enter the home screen 2. Select the settings icon. 3. Select Safari from the settings menu. 4. Select "Accept Cookies" from the safari menu. 5. Select "From Visitor" from the Accept Cookie menu. 6. Press the home button to return to the iPhone home screen. 7. Select the Safari icon to return to Safari. 8. Before the cookie setting change takes effect, Safari must be restarted. To restart Safari, press and hold the home button (about five seconds) until the iPhone/iPad display goes blank and the home screen appears. 9. Select the Safari icon to return to Safari.
